GEOFF JOHNS TO PRODUCE FLASH MOVIE

Grandma - get your running shoes on. In the wake of the Dark Knights success, Warner Bros has announced the dawn of a new partnership, with it's comic publishing subsidiary DC Comics. Aiming to create movies with DC properties that are accessible to non-fans, yet still adhere to each character's long history, Warners is giving DC more input by hiring three of it's biggest writers - Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison and Marv Wolfman - to act as consultants and writers for its superhero line of movies.

A line which includes Superman, Adam Strange, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Shazam, Green Lantern, and oh yeah - The Flash - but not just any Flash - a Flash film produced by Geoff Johns. The man who wrote the definitive run(s) on the book, and re-established his rouges gallery into the bad-asses they were always meant to be, is going to be one of the key forces bringing the Scarlet Speedster to the big screen.

Johns has done so much for the Flash, DC, and it's fans through storylines such as Blood Will Run and the current mini series Flash Rebirth, the thought that this project can give something back to him, means a Geoff Johns Flash film isn't just cool - it's justice.

I'll say - I think this is the best possible move for DC and Warner Brothers.

Not only will this help get the Superman franchise rebooted with a bang - but can you imagine a New Teen Titans film with Marv Wolfman at the helm?!

DC and Warner need to get their crap together big time.
